Daniel Reyes Llinas fades the line between written and improvised music that often features elements of his main training as a classical guitarist. He specializes in contemporary, classical repertoire and post minimalistic aesthetics. His works expand through a colorful array of instruments such as woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion and electronics that often invite to audience to wonder on the source of the sounds that are given to the performers abilities. Through electronic effects these choices and inherent suggestions explore the timbre and instrumental techniques. A distant South American landscape might be a rumor on the rhythmic palette through the deconstruction of traditional musical dances. These dances take shape in a progressive intensity inspired in the urbanity and cultural melange of NYC and the serenity of the Colombian coast.
